ECT Development
We can offer you the best possible start to a career in teaching. Each ECT will receive support from a dedicated teacher mentor who will guide you through an excellent ECT programme which offers bespoke support and training, as well as the opportunity to learn from senior and experienced staff members. Weekly meetings, observations, team planning and teaching, alongside assessment points ensure good progress towards meeting all teaching standards.
You will receive training alongside other Trust ECT's at the same career stage as you. The tailor-made training plan is developed by the senior leadership teams across the Trust schools. This ensures that sessions are delivered by experienced colleagues with an interest and particular expertise in an area relating to education and thereby sharing high quality practice and provision. The sessions give the opportunity for aspiring teachers to support and learn from each other in a truly collaborative way. As you move through the training programme into term two, ECT's will have the opportunity to shape the programme through the Spring and Summer Terms to best suit your stages of development. This enables aspiring teachers to support and learn from each other in a truly collaborative way.
